We were all talking about how our exams and big projects are all around the same time, but we are pushing through. We all agreed that we are doing pretty well in this course and how it’s important that we stay in track because this course is online. We all really liked how the blog posts teach us something; the bread making blog was so cool!! Gabi wasn’t able to plant anything last week but the others are doing fine!

Blog 8: Plant a Seed

Image
For this blog, I am starting my plant-a-seed process by germinating some Bell Pepper seeds from my dinner that I just made. Bell peppers were a spontaneous idea for me because I wanted to use something I already had around. I haven't germinated a seed since the infamous bean in a bag, which most of us did in elementary so I am excited to see if this works! Below are some photos of the process!

Blog 6: Bread Baking

l 1. Combine 3 cups of flour, 2 tsp of salt, 2tsp of yeast, and 1 1/2 cups of warm water 2. Cover with cling wrap and let sit for 2-3hrs in a warm environment 3. Preheat the oven to 450 and put the dutch oven in for 30mins to prewarm it. 4. Place dough in the oven for 30 mins with a lid, and 12 min without 5. enjoy! Making bread was actually really fun, and easier than I thought it would be. My favorite part was going back and watching the dough rise. I'm not usually a patient person but I had to wait for enough time for the yeast to start working. Overall I really loved this experience and I probably will be baking a lot of my bread from now on!!
